Fall 2024/Spring 2025
In Fall 2024, UConn Brewing Innovation partnered with Urban Lodge Brewing to create Husky Berry Buzzzz, a cranberry wildflower honey sour and the first sour beer crafted by the Brew Crew. Offered as a for-credit class for the first time, the Brew Crew brought together 26 students from 17 majors to learn brewing essentials. The beer launched on November 21st at Urban Lodge Brewing, drawing over 200 attendees and selling 1,500 pints and 172 four-packs.
From Classroom to Taproom: Brew Crew’s First Sour
Spring 2024
In the Spring of 2024, UConn Brewing Innovation’s inargural Brew Crew worked alongside Two Roads Brewing Company to brew a tropical fruited IPA, Road 2 UConn. Road 2 UConn has flavors of passionfruit, orange, and guava. This beer was available at Two Roads for a limited time.

Fall 2023
Two senior design teams learned about the brewing process from farm to pint. Their adventure began at Thrall Family Malt, where they learned more about the various raw ingredients used in brewing. Following this, they collaborated with the team at Kinsmen for a hands-on brewing experience. They crafted a hazy IPA, named BrewConn. The culmination of their hard work and collaboration was celebrated at our launch event in November, which was attended by a crowd of 350 guests.
